It was an arrangement that had been set up long before he had become king, back when he was nothing more than an infant, that their kingdom and that of the Midoriya kingdom would be united once he became king. It wasn't an arrangement he was very fond of, but in the end he agreed to it. Destroying decades old treaties wasn't a very good way to start his rule, after all.
And it didn't matter anyway. At the end of the day, a union meant little. There'd be someone else in his room at night, it'd be nothing more and could hardly be anything less.
It was only a week or so out from the ceremony that would unite them and Bakugou had agreed to a pre-meeting as it were at the request of his mom and the Midoriya Kingdom's queen. It seemed pointless, a damn waste of time, but Bakugou just assumed it was some sort of courting ritual. Those in other kingdoms seemed to waste a lot of time on meaningless and trivial things.
But, here he was, waiting in some grand ballroom, sitting on some cushioned seat, staring at far too much food on decorated and fragile plates, as he waited for the prince's arrival.
He didn't match the surroundings at all, everything from his array of tattoos and jewelry, to his fur lined boots and jacket and bare chest, stood out almost comically. The wild among the fragile. Something was bound to break.
If he doesn't hurry, I'm burning this whole room to the ground.
[There's nothing other than the couple of armored guards standing around, and none of them have bothered to utter a word to him, so the threat might as have fallen on deaf ears. But it made him feel a little better.]
